Staircase Planning

The configurator for interior staircase kits allows you
to quickly and easily create your dream staircase.

Staircase Configurator

Simple, precise, individual – our online staircase configurator is a powerful tool that allows you to design an interior staircase exactly according to your requirements. Simply measure the space, enter the dimensions into the configurator, and we will take care of the rest.

There is no need to deal with complicated drawings – our designers will create the optimal solution for your space. The design is then transferred to production, where the staircase is manufactured with maximum precision using CNC machines. Before shipping, every staircase is fully assembled and inspected to ensure that everything fits perfectly during installation.

Staircase Variant

You can choose from eight staircase variants. The temporary version is intended only as a provisional staircase, for example to prevent unnecessary damage to the final designer staircase during house construction. If you prefer the appearance of a concrete staircase but your building is not prepared for its construction, or if you simply want to avoid formwork preparation and wet construction processes, choose the base staircase. Once clad with wooden treads and risers, it will visually resemble a concrete staircase.

If you are a fan of classic solid wood craftsmanship, the housed staircase is the ideal choice. Alternatively, you can select the open stringer version, where the stringers are positioned exclusively beneath the treads rather than on their sides as in the housed version.

The next three variants are steel staircases. The most commonly selected is the Victory model, which offers a universal solution suitable for a wide range of interiors. The Elegant model provides a modern character with clean lines and a minimalist appearance that complements contemporary living spaces. For those looking for a more distinctive feature, the Swing model brings a unique and stylish design element into the space.

The final model is the outdoor staircase, which can serve either as a smaller staircase for garden access or as a larger solution for an exterior entrance to the upper floor.

Staircase Shape

The size of the available floor space, together with the layout and connections to surrounding areas, largely determines which staircase shapes are suitable for your home. The goal is always to achieve the most natural and comfortable movement on and around the staircase. In most cases, this has already been resolved in the architectural design – if not, read on.

In general, staircase shapes with straight sections require the most space, especially versions with landings. A landing is a section of the staircase where no vertical rise occurs, so it could be seen as using additional space inefficiently. However, it offers many advantages – elderly people can comfortably rest while walking (which is why it is often informally called a “resting platform”), two people can easily pass each other, and landings provide the safest way to turn off the staircase into an intermediate floor level.

Landings are also often the ideal solution for avoiding collisions with doors or windows in the surrounding walls. A typical example is a straight staircase with a landing near the upper floor exit. Straight runs between landings provide the confidence of a regular and consistent step and are generally safer than the angled treads used in turning staircases. A half-turn staircase with a landing is considered one of the most practical and safest staircase designs thanks to its spacious landing and regular geometry.

If you have less space available for the staircase, prefer a more compact design, or simply like the flowing lines of curved stringers, choose one of the turning staircase designs without a landing. As a general rule, the more turns a staircase has, the less floor space it requires while maintaining the same level of walking comfort.

Material

We manufacture our staircases from high-quality edge-glued solid wood panels, created by processing wooden blocks and bonding them into solid wood boards. The boards feature a parquet-style pattern. The structural components are strong and stable, making them ideal for staircase production and load-bearing constructions. You can choose from four wood species: Beech, Oak, Ash, and Spruce.

Beech wood ranges from reddish-yellow to reddish-brown, with subtle growth rings. It often contains a darker brown false heartwood. Steamed beech acquires a pinkish tone. It is a hard and durable wood without visible pores.

Oak is a wood species with pronounced pores and growth rings, ranging from light brown to yellowish-brown in color. Its wood is hard, heavy, tough, strong, and highly durable. It often features clearly visible medullary rays on radial cuts, known as “mirrors,” which are sometimes mistakenly considered defects by non-professionals.

Ash is also a wood species with pronounced growth rings. Its heartwood ranges from reddish-brown to brown, often with varying shades, while the sapwood is light yellow. Ash wood is hard, heavy, tough, strong, and flexible.

Spruce features growth rings with a strong color contrast between springwood and summerwood, as well as significant differences in hardness. Springwood is soft and light yellow-white to reddish-white, darkening quickly in sunlight. Summerwood, on the other hand, is brown and hard.

Steel is a strong and durable material that ensures long service life and staircase stability. Thanks to its versatility, it allows for modern design solutions and easy combination with other materials.

Oak, ash, and beech are among our hardest wood species, while spruce stands at the opposite end of the hardness spectrum.

On the left side of the wood samples, you can see untreated wood, while on the right side the wood is finished with oil or lacquer.

Wood Surface Finish

We supply staircases in three surface finish options.

Lacquered – we use a transparent two-component highly durable polyurethane lacquer applied in two coats, providing long-lasting protection for the wood surface with minimal maintenance requirements.

Oiled – we use a transparent two-component hardening oil applied in a single coat. It offers excellent durability, low maintenance requirements, and can be easily renewed on exposed areas directly at the installation site.

Both the oil and lacquer are, of course, certified for anti-slip properties.

The third option is supplied as sanded unfinished wood without any surface treatment. If you plan to apply any wood stain or colored oil according to your own desired shade, this is the ideal choice.

You can also order materials for your own surface finish application directly in our e-shop.

Steel Surface Finish

The surface of all metal components is first professionally sandblasted to ensure maximum adhesion of the subsequent surface finish. We then carefully apply filler to eliminate all minor imperfections and manufacturing marks. After curing, the surface is precisely sanded to achieve a perfectly smooth finish. Finally, we apply high-quality paints in the selected color shade, ensuring not only an attractive appearance but also long-term material protection.

  • Raw steel without surface finish: The material may contain manufacturing imperfections such as scratches, welds, and ground areas. Before applying your own paint finish, the surface must be degreased and, in some areas, filled and sanded to improve paint adhesion.
  • RAL 9003 – White: A clean and neutral white color that creates a fresh appearance and visually enlarges the space.
  • RAL 9004 – Black: A deep dark shade that gives the staircase a strong contrast and elegant character.
  • RAL 9006 – Light silver / grey: A light shade with a subtle grey tone, creating a modern appearance.

An exception is the outdoor staircase, which is supplied with a hot-dip galvanized finish. This surface treatment provides excellent resistance against weather conditions and corrosion and allows maintenance-free operation for up to 40 years.
